Paying attention to good tire care habits is an easy way to maintain your tires’ health and your vehicle’s gas mileage.
Check your tire pressure every 3,000 miles and before starting a long road trip. If any of your tires have low pressure while you’re driving for hundreds of miles on a trip, they’ll have more wear to the rubber and treads than if you’d properly inflated them before setting out. And because having low treads or worn out rubber are reasons to replace your tires early, this could be a costly mistake.
Do you know how to check your tire pressure? Do you know what pressure they should be inflated to? Review our helpful guide for help!

To make sure none of your tires wears out early, have them rotated regularly. Most manufacturers recommend every 6,000 to 8,000 miles.
